The Word of Life

Image
In Jesus, the creative word by which God made all things is manifested for all men to see . The  Gospel of John  identifies Jesus as the ‘ Logos ’, the word through which God made the Cosmos. This theme is prominent in John’s Gospel and is derived from the Hebrew Bible. God created the world, especially life, through His spoken word. Jesus of Nazareth is the living expression of that same creative word.

Unlocking Mysteries

Image
Jesus is the key that unlocks the Hebrew Scriptures and reveals the nature and redemptive purposes of the God of Israel . Jesus unveils the knowledge and plans of God, and he is the center of his Father’s purposes for the redemption of humanity. He is  the key  that opens our understanding of the Hebrew Scriptures, and only Christ is qualified to explain and demonstrate the Divine Nature. In Jesus of Nazareth, all the promises of God find their “Y ea and Amen! ”

Revealed in Jesus

Image
The previously hidden mysteries of God are revealed in Jesus of Nazareth, and especially in his Death and Resurrection . The Bible speaks of the “ mysteries ” of God, His ways that are hidden from human wisdom and defy our expectations. As Jesus declared, not everyone can understand the “ mysteries of the Kingdom .” It is God who reveals the deep and obscure things to whomever He pleases, and in His Son, He has done so for all men to see.

Jesus, the True Tabernacle

Image
Jesus is the Greater Tabernacle in which the presence and glory of God dwell and manifest for all men to behold – John 1:14. The  Gospel of John  presents Jesus as the ‘ Logos ’ (λογος), the “ Word made flesh ,” where the glory of God is manifested before all men. The Son of God is the Greater and True Tabernacle in which God’s presence dwells, not the portable tent carried by Israel in the Wilderness or the later Jerusalem Temple “ made with hands .”

Животворящее Слово

Image

House of God

Image
Jesus is the true and only way of access to the Father, the Greater Tabernacle, and the House of God – John 1:47-50. The  Gospel of John  presents Jesus as the  True House of God . He is the way of access to the presence of God that is now open to all men. The man from Nazareth has become the True  Bethel , the “ House of God .” From now on, Heaven is open to all men, and angels are “ ascending and descending ” on the “ Son of Man .” What Jacob saw in a vision long ago has become reality in Jesus Christ.

Revealing the Unseen God

Image
Only Jesus has seen the unseen God, therefore, 0nly he is fully qualified to reveal and interpret his Father – John 1:14-18. The Prologue to the  Gospel of John  introduces key themes of the Book, including  Life ,  Light ,  Witness ,  Truth ,  Glory , and  Grace .  Jesus of Nazareth is the Light of the world, the source of Grace and Truth, the True Tabernacle in whom God dwells, the only born Son of God, and the only one who has seen the Father. The Prologue concludes by declaring that the Son is the only one qualified to interpret God since he alone has seen the  Unseen God .

God's Fullness

Image
The fullness, grace, and truth of God are found only in the Word made Flesh, namely, Jesus of Nazareth – John 1:14-18. The Gospel of John begins by introducing key themes that are expanded in the body of the book - Life , Light , Witness , Truth , and Grace .  Jesus is the Light of the world , the source of Grace and Truth , the True Tabernacle , and the only born Son of God who dwells in the “ bosom of the Father .” The Prologue concludes by declaring that Christ is qualified to interpret the unseen God since he alone has seen Him.

Seeing God

Image
Jesus, the crucified Messiah, unveils the Scriptures and the future, and he manifests the true nature of the Living God . Jesus unveils the Divine mysteries, and only he is qualified to manifest the nature of the unseen God. Every promise of God's finds its fulfillment in him. Christ unlocks the scriptures, and there is no true knowledge of God without him. The Creator of All Things is found in Jesus of Nazareth.

The Divine Glory

Image
Since the Word became flesh, the Divine Glory has been manifested in Jesus of Nazareth and all who follow him behold it – John 1:14. Jesus is the  Logos  in the  Gospel of John , the “ Word become flesh ” in whom the “ Glory of God ” resides. He is the True Tabernacle foreshadowed by the Tent carried by Israel in the wilderness where the Glory of Yahweh was manifested in impressive but limited ways. The Crucified Messiah is the true and full manifestation of the Glory of the Living God.

The Word Became Flesh

Image
Jesus is the Living Word in flesh, the true Tabernacle where the Glory of God is revealed. He is the man who reveals God’s Grace and Truth – John 1:14. The Prologue of the Gospel of John presents key themes to be expanded in his gospel account. Jesus is the ‘ Logos ’ (λογος), the “ Word that became flesh .” In Christ, Life and Light are revealed to penitent men and women. He is the true “ Tabernacle ” where God’s “ Glory ” resides. John employs imagery from the history of Israel to illustrate what God has provided in His “ only born Son .”

Light of the World

Image
Jesus is the only true Light of the World, and his light shines all the brighter amidst the darkness that tyrannizes the present age. All competing claims are false . “ Life ” is found in the “ Word ” or ‘ Logos ’ (λογος), and this life is the “ Light of men .” The Light is “ shining in the darkness ,” and the darkness “ cannot seize ” or suppress it. This same “ Word ” has become the Living Word of God in Jesus of Nazareth, in whom the glory, salvation, and life of God are manifested for all men to see - (John 1:1).

Jesus is the Center

Image
Not only does Jesus play the central role in unveiling God to mankind, but he also is the very heart and foundation of his Father’s creative and redemptive efforts, especially the deliverance of humanity from enslavement to Sin and Death. He is the only One in whom the glory of the Creator is seen, and the only One who is qualified to interpret Him.

Mysteries Revealed

Image
The Bible speaks of the “ mysteries ” of God, His ways that are hidden from human wisdom and defy our expectations. As Jesus declared, not everyone can understand the “ mysteries of the Kingdom .” It is God who reveals the deep and obscure things to whomever He pleases, and in His Son, He has done so for all men to see. The previously hidden mysteries of God are revealed in Jesus, especially in his Death and Resurrection.

God has Spoken!

Image
God has spoken His definitive word in His Son. All previous words given by the prophets were preparatory, promissory, and partial . The Letter to the Hebrews encourages us not to abandon Jesus when difficult times come. It does so by emphasizing the superiority of what God has done in His “ Son .” The Word “ spoken ” in Jesus is superior to the earlier revelations provided “ to the fathers in the prophets .” The Letter compares the Levitical system with its incomplete rituals to the “ better ” priesthood and “ once for all ” sacrifice of the “ Son ,” Jesus Christ.
